The Bottom Bracket Facing Set is designed to be a complete self-contained facing set, combining top quality precision parts with ease of use. Simply install the threaded inserts using the facer handle, then insert the facing tool through the guides and install the tension spring and speed nut. After applying a liberal amount of cutting oil, the BFS-1 easily cuts the shell material, giving you a clean, faced surface. Now you're ready to install the bottom bracket. Available for your bike repair at your local bike shop or you can do it yourself here in our School in Victoria.

Two new bottom bracket standards are rapidly gaining acceptance in the bicycle industry. “BB30” and “Shimano Press Fit” (“BB90”) bottom bracket systems allow bearings to be pressed directly into an oversized bottom bracket shell, eliminating the need for threaded bottom bracket cups. The Park Tool BBT-39 Bottom Bracket Bearing Tool Set is designed for installation and removal of the bearings used in these new bottom bracket systems. The BBT-39 includes two bushing sets, which are used in conjunction with a Park Tool Bearing Cup Press (HHP-2 or HHP-3), to precisely press the BB30 and BB90 bearings into the bottom bracket shell. The BBT-39 also includes a removal tool for pushing the BB30 system bearings from the bottom bracket shell (because of the design and light press fit of the bearings, a special removal tool is not needed for the BB90 system).

This tool is a standard tool that every bicycle mechanic has in the tool box. Pick one up from our local bike repair school in Victoria.The BBT-22 is a bike shop quality tool for installing and removing Shimano® and ISIS Drive® splined 20-tooth bottom bracket cups. Made from investment cast steel, the BBT-22 utilizes a flat tooth profile to ensure maximum engagement with the bottom bracket cup. Can be used with a 3/8” drive torque wrench, 3/8” ratchet driver, 32mm wrench, FRW-1 Freewheel Remover Wrench, or 1” wrench.

The BBT-9 is used to remove and install Shimano® Hollowtech II, Campagnolo Ulta-Torque, Race Face, FSA®, SRAM®, Truvativ®, Chris King®, and many other external bearing crankset bottom brackets. One end of the BBT-9 securely engages the 16 notches of the bottom bracket cups. The other end of the tool engages the 8 internal splines of the crank arm adjustment cap. The BBT-9 also fits the rotor disc lockrings using 16 external notches.

The BBT-7 Lockring Wrench is used for installing and removing the lockring used on Dura Ace® 7700 and XTR® 950 Bottom Brackets. It is laser cut and engages five of the lockring's six notches for a precise, secure fit. The handle is vinyl dipped for comfort. While made specifically to fit Dura Ace® and XTR® Lockrings, it also fits several other lockrings as well.

The BBT-90 quickly and easily removes press fit bottom bracket bearings and press fit bearing/sleeve units that have an inside bearing diameter of 22-26mm, such as BB90, BB92, Shimano Press Fit, SRAM Press Fit GXP, Race Face and others. For service of the BB30 type bottom bracket see the BBT-39. The BBT-90 works similar to a small head cup remover to safely extract low profile bearings from inside the bottom bracket shell. As the tool slides through the shell it expands behind the bearing. Once the tool is in place, the bike bearing is removed by tapping on the top cap with a hammer.

Shimano TL-FC32 Bottom Bracket tool is designed for the Hollowtech II external bearings. Most of the new bikes have the external bottom brackets and this is the proper wrench from Shimano. If you are not using a torque wrench like you should be, then this tool is for you. If you do use a torque wrench like the professional bike mechanics do, then you want the TL-FC33.
