Bike Overhaul (21.0 hours)

Bike Overhaul is the crème de la crème of bike repair and is highly recommended for everyone from serious cyclists to parents who want to fix the family bikes. If your bike requires some new parts or hasn't had bearing work done in the last year, this course is for you. We will teach you proper wrench selection and tool use including Torque wrenches. Even if you have no mechanical experience, this class will teach you everything you need to know about bicycles and repair. This course will enable you to do your own entire bicycle repair from spoke replacement to bearing overhaul and everything in between.

Living in the wet coast, we need to overhaul our wheel bearings at least once a year to keep our bikes rolling freely with clean, greased bearings. This class will show you how and why we need to do this to save you effort on your ride and money in parts. Bicycle overhaul also teaches people the ins and outs on how a bicycle is built so your next new or used bicycle purchase will be an educated one and not just luck of the draw.

The course fee includes new cables, housings, loose bearings and grease. The work done to your bike in this class will cost you $150.00 or more at most bike shops. For cyclists riding to class, your bike will be ride-able after each day.

The course manual is recommended for an additional $29.99.
